Inicio E.S.O. ENGLISH BREAKFAST

ENGLISH BREAKFAST

On March 29th, students in 3ºA ESO had an Easter Breakfast. It was a very motivating and funny activity within the English class.

In pairs or groups of three, students researched about different traditions between English and Spanish Easter. It was surprising in many ways because English Easter has nothing to do with the way Spain celebrates Easter.

But students concentrated on traditional Easter food, the reason by which they organised the breakfast.

After studying the culinary differences between the two cultures, they looked at home for some traditional Easter recipes, and decided to make one. Some of them brought recipes from their grandma’s, their mothers or simply because they had made them before.

They wrote their recipes in English quite well, and before tasting the result they explained the way they made their dishes to the audience (teachers they invited and the rest of the class). Now, we have a very interesting cookbook made by themselves!

They also brought Easter eggs, which are very typical in England at this time of the year, and also the story about where the Easter eggs come from.

It was a fantastic activity where both students and teachers had a wonderful farewell for the Easter holidays
